Basketball, hockey and more: RENOLIT holiday programme a complete success again this year

54 children attend the childcare programme

Worms, 12 August 2024 – For the third time, RENOLIT offered the children of employees in Worms and Frankenthal a two-week holiday programme. And it was a success: 54 children aged between six and 14 took part in the fun and games programme. 

This year's children's holiday programme, which took place from 29 July to 9 August, was all about sport - inspired by the Olympic Games in Paris. For a fortnight, the children had a varied programme with many sporting disciplines: In the first week, they played basketball and hockey at TG Worms and visited the Luisenpark in Mannheim. In the second week, the children practised football at TuS 1894 Neuhausen and rugby at Rugby Club Worms. They also went on a trip to the House of the Senses in Wiesbaden and did handicrafts together.

"Six weeks of summer holidays can be really challenging for families in terms of organisation. We offer our holiday programme to take the pressure off our employees and help them balance work and family life," explains Johanna Schlörit, Director Corporate People Strategy & Branding at RENOLIT.

The children's parents were also invited to the final event last Friday. In the morning, the children ran through a self-built course. At the end of the children's holiday programme, each child received a medal.         

"My daughter is taking part again this year and is very enthusiastic! The third year of the RENOLIT children's holiday programme offers a varied programme that is not only great fun for the children, but also supports working parents," says Susanne Greß, an employee at RENOLIT.

As in previous years, the programme was put together in cooperation with the Internationaler Bund Südwest gGmbH (IB) in Worms. Educators from the IB provided professional support for the holiday activities.
