THE FUTURE

    THE FUTURE STARTS HERE

The Amsterdam Innovation Center (AIC) is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a collaborative environment for our customers, end-customers and RENOLIT Healthcare Innovation teams to devise breakthrough polymer solutions and bring them to life. Our customers and their subject matter experts are able to join forces with our Global Innovation and Research & Development teams, our technology partners of leading raw materials, and our co-manufacturers under one roof. We offer various technology workshops linked to highly-prestigious technical centers and universities like TNO, Fraunhofer, and other frontrunners that our customers and end-customers have the opportunity to collaborate with, on-site, altogether.

    CHALLENGES & SUSTAINABILITY

    OUR CUSTOMERS’ AND END-CUSTOMERS’ CHALLENGES

In order to stay at the forefront of polymer innovations and sustainability, we canvass the markets for innovation opportunities and challenges, create and host solutions and seek out co-developments and partnerships.

    SOLVING INNOVATION CHALLENGES DAILY

At the AIC, we work with our customers, end-customers and partners to develop polymer solutions that solve industry needs in the healthcare space and beyond. Our diverse product portfolio spans across a wide range of application fields, making us keen to the latest industry trends and developments. Because of this, we can devise solutions with easier use, high product safety and outstanding performance that support optimal health for ourselves and the environment. Consequently, the AIC supplies an abundance of resources that encourages creative thinking, offers support, and gives wings to ideas that actualize products, services, and solutions.

The RENOLIT AIC offers the following services:

    • Full-service EM Technology based rental concepts including EMT Die building, retrofit engineering and implementation, start-up services
    • (EMT) film recipe design and testing
    • Regulatory services
    • Resin change services
    • Root cause problem analysis and solving (together with one of our partners)
    • Resin compound design, development, and testing in clean room ISO class 7 in operation.

OUR STRIDES TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE PLANET

In our ever-evolving world that constantly faces environmental threats, manufacturing and raw-material companies are constantly presented with the challenges of swiftly and significantly reducing their ecological footprint and use of fossil carbon-based products. As we globally strive to live in a world that is safer, more environmentally friendly and fosters greater quality of life for all humankind, we must first begin developing better healthcare products that support such goals.

    COLLABORATION

WE VALUE COLLABORATION FROM ALL AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

We welcome customers, end-customers and partners from all departmental functions to collaborate with us – from (global) innovation and Research & Development teams, to Sustainability managers, to technical application and process developers, to Marketing and Sales departments. The AIC currently offers dedicated innovation and sustainability workshops to all departmental functions so altogether we can bring your best product to life, today.

    INNOVATIONS

OUR ONGOING INNOVATIONS AT THE AIC

The RENOLIT AIC is actively creating new solutions in the following areas of development:

    SUSTAINABILITY

    • Circular polymer product technology – A sustainability effort that uses the 7R approach (Refuse, Remove, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew and Redesign)
    • Technology that converts CO2 into Ethylene and Propylene gasses that serve as ergo building blocks for new, virgin polymers
    • Advanced recycling in all RENOLIT Healthcare production plants that allows semi-mechanically recyclable plastic waste to be efficiently reworked into 100% virgin monomers

    EXTRUSION MODELING TECHNOLOGY (EMT)

    • Permitting the development of monoPE and monoPP barrier films that can be truly recycled as pure LDPE (recycling category 4) or pure PP (recycling category 5) while having a high barrier for gasses, aromas and humidity
    TECHNOLOGIES

    OUR MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGIES

The RENOLIT AIC currently is using the following manufacturing technologies:
