Karsten Jänicke

Karsten Jänicke se narodil v roce 1968 v Kamenu v Severním Porýní-Vestfálsku. Po absolvování studia ekonomie a společenských věd se specializací na controlling, marketing a logistiku na Technické univerzitě v Dortmundu v roce 1994 pracoval jako manažer kvality a manažer outsourcingových projektů ve společnosti Thyssen Haniel Logistic v Barceloně. V roce 2001 se stal generálním ředitelem španělské tiskárny papíru Lamigraf GmbH v Bönenu, než v roce 2008 přešel do společnosti RENOLIT ve Wormsu. Zde byl až do roku 2019, kdy byl jmenován do výkonné rady, manažerem obchodní jednotky bývalé BU RENOLIT DESIGN. Karsten Jänicke je nyní odpovědným členem představenstva za strategické tržní jednotky Interior Surfaces, Roof & Water Care a Pool a také pro několik podnikových jednotek.
Karsten Jänicke je od října 2023 čestným členem společnosti VinylPlus. Je členem správní rady nadace Vinyl Foundation a členem řídicího výboru VinylPlus.
Karsten Jänicke je ženatý a má dva syny. Rád sportuje, například běhá, hraje fotbal, stolní tenis, padel a squash. Kromě toho rád cestuje, čte a občas zajde do kina.

I notice over and over again that young people at the start of their career in particular don't have the confidence to contribute their ideas and take risks. That's why I keep asking myself: what can I do as a manager to give my employees more security?

Promoting young talents is an engine for the industry
The success of German industry is based on the expertise of its many employees. The extreme shortage of skilled workers is consequently an unprecedented threat to the entire economy. Therefore, I am surprised that we in Germany place so little emphasis on promoting young talents. After all, it can act as an engine for industry. To achieve this, however, politics and business need to make more efforts together - instead of just relying on short-term solutions.
